No harm if students listen to PM Narendra Modi's Teacher's Day speech
A row has erupted over the HRD ministry's directive to the government schools under the Centre and states in which it has been told that arrangements should be made for live telecast of PM Narendra Modi's speech on Teacher's day and the students should be made to listen to the speech. Political parties, academicians, teachers, students and parents differ on the merits and de-merits of the circular.
"We are Hindi based people, even our mother tongue is Hindi
and we hearty welcome the proposal of the government. But this
proposal somehow hurt the feeling of those people who have
presently opted for other languages. But I feel, a sole
national language brings unity and harmony in the nation. So,
the whole administrative work of the nation need to be done in
sole language only. But if this proposal won't get approved
officially then how people will accept the sole language and
work in it only. If foreigners can learn Hindi to work in
India then why don't Indian citizens do the same."

"If Modi was serious about improving school education system, then this step could have been justified. As of now, the education system needs funds and very little has been allocated in the last budget. So when the funds for developing the basic education system is lacking, then giving 'bhashan' to the students simply cannot help to improve their careers."
